Today in Possible Hollywood couple Alert that nobody saw coming: Canadian pop superstar The Weeknd and Angelina Jolie were spotted bent dinner together at a romantic Italian restaurant in LA. We’re gonna need a moment here because we’re blinded by the lights. The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye) met the Mr & Mrs. Smith star at charming l. a. date spot Giorgio Baldi where the 2 reportedly dined together for several hours before leaving separately so as to not raise suspicions. Ummm, too late for that, you two!

Although we might ship the couple 100 percent (can we call them Abelina?), a source tells Page Six that their dinner was likely business-related. “They’re clearly not trying to cover [the dinner date]. He’s definitely focused on going to the movie business. He has the new HBO series he’s starring in.” As they left the restaurant and got into their own separate cars, they ignored questions from the paps like, “New couple alert?” and “Are you and Angie dating?” The dinner comes just a couple of weeks after Angie was spotted visiting together with her ex-husband Jonny Lee Miller in NYC. Jolie and Jonny co-starred together in 1995’s Hackers, before marrying in 1996. They ultimately divorced in 1999 but remained friends.

She then went on to marry Billy Bob Thornton in 2000, and Brad Pitt in 2014. Their 5-year litigation over their six children has dominated the news lately, but Angelina has for all intents and purposes remained single during this point . The Weeknd famously dated both model Bella Hadid and singer Selena Gomez in recent years. His mega-hit “Heartless” is rumored to be about his tumultuous dating past with both of those women. Frankly, if Angie and Abel end up to be a thing, we are looking forward to the Girl, Interrupted Oscar-winner spending a while in Scarborough. Angie, you’re gonna love Johnny’s Hamburgers!
